Dr. Patrick Burrage
Dr. Burrage graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.
He owned a mixed animal practice in Claresholm for 12 years before moving to the Bluffton area with his family in 2002. In 2004 his practice was renovated to service companion animals. His primary focus has been beef cow-calf and equine, but also includes small ruminants and alternative livestock (bison, elk). He is a busy father of 3 girls, Erin, Josie and Lacey, and is involved with 4-H, volleyball, basketball and rodeo. He is looking forward to touring the rodeo circuit with his youngest daughter, Lacey, this spring.
Dr. Pat is also involved with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and has been on many committees over the years. He is currently on the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency (CCIA) board of directors (vice-chair).
Dr. Andrea Falt
Dr. Falt joined the practice in 2007, adding her expertise in managing companion animal patient care. Formerly from British Columbia, she graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and lives near Bluffton with her husband, Cameron, and children, Hanna & Connor.
As well as being an assistant leader with the Bluffton 4-H Club, she assists her husband Cameron on the farm caring for 200 cows.
Dr. Stacey White
Dr. White came to Bluffton in 2012. Originally from Saskatchewan, he graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He has spent the majority of his carreer practicing companion animal medicine. He has practiced in Stettler, Edmonton and Toronto before coming to join us.
Dr. White is the general manager of the Canadian Sheep Breeders' Association and raises a flock of sheep.
Dr. Jasmine Duff
Dr. Duff graduated from the University of Guelph in 2014, and spent her first years practicing at a busy equine and small animal practice. She is originally from Ontario but has lived and worked in Alberta, on and off, for the past 10 years. Her main interest lies in equine work but she is more than happy to treat any and all animals. When she is not practicing vet medicine she spends her time riding her horse, snowboarding and playing the guitar.
Dr. Julie Reimer
Dr. Julie Reimer joined our practice in June 2017. Julie grew up in Calgary and went to school at UCVM, did her undergrad at the U of A at the Agriculture Faculty. Julie's parents own land near Leedale, and in 2012 Julie volunteered at the clinic for that entire summer. Julie, her husband Curtis and their cat Fitz moved to Rimbey in June of 2017. In her spare time Julie likes to go camping and swim. She also enjoys crocheting. Julie is both a large and small animal vet although she prefers to do large animals, specifically cattle.
Robyn Andersen - Animal Health Tech
Robyn completed her education at Olds College and graduated in 2006. She began her career here with us in 2006. In 2009, she left Bluffton to gain experience at other small animal and equine clinics. She was a teaching assistent at Olds College in 2011 and then returned to Bluffton in 2012. Robyn is most passionate about equine and ruminant (both large and small) medicine. In her spare time, Robyn rides her horses, raises la mancha and Toggenburg goats. She acts as a director of the Canadian Goat Society.
Rae-Ann McDonagh - Animal Health Tech
Rae-Ann joined our team in September 2015. She attended Olds College graduating in June 2015. During her time there, she was the President of the Animal Health Club. Rae-ann enjoys working with both small and large animals but is most passionate about cattle. In her spare time she spends time with her family and her dog Bandit. They go camping and hunting often.
Mariann Valstar - Reception
Mariann grew up in BC on a dairy farm and worked in the agriculture feed business. After marrying Jason and moving to Alberta, four kids were added to the family and Mariann kept busy on the family dairy farm. The farm was sold in 2014, and Marian worked many years in Rimbey in an administrative position. Mariann started with the clinic in December 2016. In her spare time she enjoys being the Rimbey 4H club leader, working at the family business Jemco Feeds in Rimbey, catering and helping out with the families growing beef operation.
Amy Gieringer - Registered Veterinary Technician
Amy Graduated from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC in 2015. Amy grew up in Victoria, BC and is very much an island girl! She loves all animals and enjoys working with all types of species. After graduating, Amy worked in emergency clinics for a few years, before moving to Bentley, Alberta with her boyfriend Mitchell. Amy is the proud owner of her handsome cat, Jack, her thoroughbred, Xaya and pug, Hercules. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, snowboarding, horseback riding, and all things pug-related!
